LYNN – Ford Elementary School first-grader Shari Nash is one of 14 Massachusetts winners of the Mass School Building Authority’s My Ideal School contest held earlier this year.The contest solicited drawings from first grade students across the state centered around how construction and design of school buildings supports student learning.Nash and her classmates in Elise Mahoney’s class submitted drawings earlier this year, with hers being chosen as the sole winner from the city of Lynn.Nash, who says she can’t remember exactly what her drawing is about, has won a $100 savings bond and will attend a special awards ceremony at the Massachusetts State House on Tuesday, June 9.At the ceremony, one of the 14 regional winners will be chosen as a grand prize winner and will receive an additional $200 savings bond and will have their drawing featured on the cover of the MSBA’s Annual Report.Nash was one of 14 winners chosen from over 2,500 drawings submitted state wide.
