LYNN – Lynn and state police responded to a call of a possible gas leak at 285 Lynn Shore Drive around 11:30 a.m. Thursday.According to Lynn Police Lt. William Sharpe, units responding determined the source of the gas was coming from an apartment on the seventh floor. Entry was made into the apartment and an elderly man was found inside unconscious.”It appeared that he had a medical emergency while preparing his stove for cooking,” Sharpe said. “The man was transported to the hospital after regaining consciousness.”Sharpe said there were no injuries nor was there any mass evacuation of the building.Lynn Shore Drive was closed for a short period of time while efforts were being made to find the source of the leak.
