MARBLEHEAD-Superintendent of Schools Paul Dulac wants a reinvigorated Technology Committee to advise him on school computer issues next year.Dulac said he wants the committee to develop a five-year computer plan with costs attached. The Technology Committee is officially listed as a subcommittee of the School Committee and, while one was named by Dulac?s predecessor, technology has been pushed to the background as the schools dealt with construction issues.School Committee members Amy Drinker and Jonathan Lederman have already offered to serve on the panel, which will also include faculty and local residents who are knowledgeable in the field.Dulac, Drinker, Lederman and Technology Director Kathy Comeau will recruit the other committee members.School Committee Chair Dick Nohelty has assigned committee members as liaisons.Drinker and Patricia Blackmer will act as a liaison team to Marblehead High. Drinker will also act as liaison to the Bell School and the negotiating team. Blackmer will also act as liaison to the Glover and Eveleth schools and the Marblehead High principal search committee.New member Eurim Chun will be the liaison to the Marblehead Village School and the Finance Committee.Nohelty will team with Chun on the FinCom assignment, and with Drinker on the negotiating team.Lederman will act as liaison to the Coffin and Gerry schools and has accepted assignments to the security subcommittee and work on the superintendent?s contract.Liaisons to schools are assigned to school site-based management teams.Lederman was rebuffed when he asked if their duties should also include parent-teacher organizations.?We don?t go to PTO meetings representing the School Committee,” Nohelty told him.?School Committee members can go to any meetings as private citizens but they don?t go as committee members unless they?re assigned to them,” Dulac said.
