LYNN – A Lynn man sustained severe mouth and facial injuries after he was rendered unconscious by a stun gun allegedly wielded by his stepson.Stephen Sanseverino, 24, of 301 Den Quarry Road, Lynn, was arrested Saturday on a warrant and charged with domestic assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, stun gun, assault and battery causing serious bodily harm, possession of a stun gun, larceny over $250 and use of a motor vehicle without authority. He also has four warrants issued out of different courts.Sanseverino was arraigned Tuesday at Lynn District Court and was ordered held without bail until his next scheduled hearing on Aug. 25.According to a police report, a frantic 911 call was placed by the next door neighbor of the victim on Aug. 15, saying there was a male covered in blood at her door in desperate need of an ambulance. The victim, who police found suffering from numerous mouth and facial injuries, said he was beaten at his house by his stepson, Sanserverino, while they were talking outside. In fear of his stepson continuing to beat him, the victim stumbled over to his neighbor’s home for safety, but was unable to speak clearly due to the fact that his airway was later found to be blocked by blood running down his throat. While the victim was being transferred to Union Hospital, police walked over to his home and found fresh blood smeared on the door frame and were met by the victim’s wife, who reportedly appeared unfazed by the incident. When asked what happened to her husband she said he probably got into a fight with Sanserverino, who fled the area in a Pontiac Grand Prix. With no more information coming from the victim’s wife, police put out a search for Sanseverino and went to the hospital to speak to the victim before he was transferred to Massachusetts Eye and Ear in Boston. The victim said when he returned home that day from the pizza shop he owns, he found holes punched in the walls and a safe kept in his office had been broken into. The safe, which contained receipts from the pizza shop totaling $2,000, was left untouched to the victim’s surprise, so he said he transferred the envelope and some guitars kept in the safe to the trunk of his car.The victim later found that the envelope was missing from the trunk, so he asked Sanseverino where it was and that was when he said the assault occurred. The victim said he was repeatedly attacked with a stun gun that Sanseverino always carries and tried to defend himself but was overpowered by his stepson “zapping” him.At that time, the victim said he could no longer remember the beating he suffered.Warrants were then taken out for Sanseverino’s arrest by Lynn Police.
