Marblehead seeks members for technology subcommittee

MARBLEHEAD – The School Committee is seeking at-large members for the committee’s Technology Subcommittee.Subcommittee members are expected to have “experience in technology and education, and identifying and/or developing potential funding sources for district technology needs,” according to a School Committee press release.Anyone interested in serving on this subcommittee may submit a letter of interest by Thursday, Oct. 15, providing a description of background and experience. Letters should be addressed to Technology Subcommittee c/o Marblehead School Committee, 9 Widger Road, Marblehead, MA 01945.The subcommittee will identify short-term and long-term technology needs of the Marblehead Public Schools and develop a five-year technology master plan for the district.The recommendations in that master plan would become the blueprint for Marblehead’s technology adoption-and-replacement program. The subcommittee will also be responsible for identifying possible sources for technology funding.The committee will be comprised of Technology Director Kathy Comeau and School Committee members Amy Drinker and Jonathan Lederman. They and Superintendent of Schools Paul Dulac are leading the recruitment of the at-large members.
