For 55 minutes on Monday, the Saugus and Marblehead girls soccer teams couldn’t find the back of the net. Both teams had plenty of chances, but the goalposts and the goalkeepers were conspiring against them.But when the Sachems got a free kick midway through the second half, they took advantage of it. Andrea Gaughan and Heidi Bezemes took care of the goal-scoring for Beverly.Danvers 8, Swampscott 0At Deering Stadium in Danvers, the Falcons (3-0) got a hat trick and an assist from Brittany Russo and two goals and an assist from Corey Persson in the win.Russo recorded her hat trick in the first half as the Falcons led 3-0. Persson scored the first two goals of the second half with Kathleen Landers, Becky Landers and Shylah Bates closing out the scoring.Becky Landers also had a pair of assists, with Joanna Zecha, Kellie MacDonald, Allie Lea and Brittney Zecha also having helpers.Williams 0, Fenwick 0At Donaldson Field in Peabody, the Crusaders (1-0-1) got solid games in the midfield from Keri Acheson and Brittany Dolan and on the back line from Gina Zellucci but couldn’t get anything going offensively.
