Alyssa Wilkie scored three goals to lift Saugus to a 4-1 win over Winthrop Friday at Winthrop.Wilkie, who also had a three-goal game against Gloucester, had some help offensively from Kaleigh Evans (goal). Melissa Toomey did her part to keep Winthrop at bat with five or six good stops. Saugus is 3-2.Danvers 3, Gloucester 0At Gloucester, Corey Persson and Brittany Russo provided the firepower for the Falcons (5-0) with Russo (10 goals, 4 assists) supplying the first goal and Persson (10 goals, 2 assists) the next two. Becky Landry and Joanna Zecha had assists. Allison Tivan (3 saves) continues to frustrate the opposition, posting her fifth shutout in as many games.Swampscott 0, Marblehead 0At Marblehead, the Big Blue (3-1-1) outshot the Magicians 20-7, but Marblehead goalie Silvie Cohen was up to the task. Swampscott swarmed the net for the final five minutes, but couldn’t come up with the winner. Mallory McDonough, Carly Hayes and Erin Langan all played well for the Big Blue.Salem 3, Beverly 2At Bertram Field, the game was tied 2-2 at the half, leaving it up to Jasmine Bryant, who came up with the winner midway through the second half on a corner kick by Lauren Schaejve.Salem’s first two goals came from Ashley Maccario, six minutes into the game, and Desiree Leone, who also scored off a Schaejve corner kick. Schaejve had a nice game at outside defense and Jackie Rocheville was a force at sweeper. Emma Titus was in net for the win. Salem is 4-1-1. Beverly (3-2) had goals by Monica Casolo and Bridget Leahy.Peabody 5, Revere 0At Revere, keeper Melissa Andreani made between 15-20 saves in a losing effort. Revere is 2-3.FOOTBALLWilmingtON 28, LynnfIeld 7At Wilmington, the Pioneers had a tough time moving the ball against a veteran Wildcat team. Gino Cohee scored on a 10-yard run in the second quarter with Steve Ullian kicking the extra point. Lynnfield (2-1) had strong games from Doug Ullian, George Hennessey, Joe Hennessey and A.J. Roberto (the latter three on defense). Wilmington ran back the opening kickoff for a touchdown and on Lynnfield’s next possession, the Wildcats recovered a fumble and went on to score from 25 yards out.Gloucester 35, Winthrop 7At Gloucester, Winthrop’s Robert Deebs scored on a 60-yard run in the first quarter to tie the game at 7-7. but the Fishermen dominated the rest of the way, taking a 22-7 lead by the half. Winthrop is 1-2 and Gloucester is 3-0.FIELD HOCKEYLynnfield 3, No. Andover 3At Lynnfield, the Pioneers (5-1-1) had to settle for the tie against an undefeated (5-0) North Andover team. North Andover scored first, but Lynnfield tied it by the half and went up 3-1 early in the second half. Forward Mary Orlando and midfielder Erin Maguire played well for Saugus. Amanda Luongo was in net.
