Micelah Adee, Lindsey Cohen, Courtney Daley and Cailin Daley each had one goal for Marblehead.MacKenzie Coppinger was outstanding in goal for Classical (1-8), stopping 20 shots.Danvers 6, English 0At Danvers, the Falcons got four goals from Corey Persson to stay undefeated (7-0).”(Persson) did pretty well,” Danvers coach Jim Hinchion said. “It wasn’t our best game, but fortunately Corey was able to find the back of the net several times.”Rebecca Cann and Tess Saunders added single goals for Danvers, which led 3-0 at halftime. Goalie Allison Tivnan made seven saves.English (2-5-2) got about 30 saves from Brittany Goulet and saw Megan Forti have a couple of good scoring chances that just couldn’t get past Tivnan.”(Forti) played very, very well,” English coach Ed McNeil said. “She had a very good game.”Saugus 3, Salem 1At Anna Parker in Saugus, the Sachems (5-2) put together a solid effort as Lauren Donati, C.C. Devine and Ashley Aldree each had a goal in the win. Gabby Cogliano had a solid game in midfield and provided an assist.”Salem is a very good team, so this was a good win for us,” Saugus coach Chris Coviello said.Janelle Gallant had the goal for the Witches, who got a great game on defense from Lauren Schaejbe.Peabody 7, Winthrop 1At Miller Field in Winthrop, the Tanners (7-0) prepared for Monday’s showdown with fellow unbeaten Danvers by jumping out to a 5-0 lead and never looking back against the Vikings.Hayley Dowd and Victoria DiGiacomo each had two goals and an assist to lead the Peabody offense. Emily Manoogian had a goal and an assist while Katie Brunelle and Kirsten Nihan each had one goal. Brienna Griffin stopped all five shots she faced in goal.
