Lynn YMCA auction kicks off today

LYNN-The Greater Lynn YMCA kicks off its “For All the Kids Auction” today, opening online bidding at 9 a.m.Viewers can browse the organization’s catalog of get-a-way packages, dining experiences, sports tickets and memorabilia, lawn and garden supplies, wine, gourmet foods, restaurant gift certificates, golf outings, collectibles and other items. The auction Web site also allows viewers to place watches on items of interest.The wide range of merchandise includes, for example, two tickets to a Boston Bruins game. Tickets are in Section 313 and between rows 8-10. The game is to be determined.Another auction item provides an opportunity to enjoy a private party room for up to 100 guests in The Point, one of Faneuil Hall’s coziest night spots in Boston. The party will include heavy appetizers for the guests and a bartender for a cash bar.Four tickets to Spooky World/Nightmare New England are also available, where guests can enter the 100,000-square foot terror zone during the Halloween season, including the massive 20-acre Scream Park.For sports fans, there is a print signed by legendary hockey star Ray Bourque, matted and framed.Once on the auction site, viewers can simply point, click and bid. All proceeds from the auction will support YMCA programs in Lynn, Saugus, and Peabody/Lynnfield. Donations are still being accepted.
