Playing on the road at always-challenging Miller Field in Winthrop was going to be a hard enough challenge for the Lynn Classical soccer team. But add in five starters out of the lineup because of various reasons and red cards, and the job for the Rams got that much more challenging.Fortunately for coach Joe Skahan’s team, Salvador Castro was on his game. Freshman Eric Martin scored the first goal (Chris Ciampa assist) and Ciampa added the insurance tally with five minutes left (Costa Hatziioannou assist).GIRLS SOCCERPeabody 6, Marblehead 2At Peabody, Hayley Dowd, Emily Manoogian and Victoria DiGiacomo had two goals each for the 8-0-1 Tanners. Manoogian also had two assists, as did Angela Ellison. Dowd and DiGiacomo each had an assistMarblehead (4-5-2) hung tough for the first 40 minutes, holding Peabody to only one goal, but the floodgates opened in the second half. Micaelah Adee and Elizabeth Miller scored for the Magicians; Mary Keroack assisted on both goals.Fenwick 4, Swampscott 1At Fenwick, Kristin Verrette had two goals and Sara Previte and Lauren Toye-O’Donnell added one each for the Crusaders (4-3-4). Keeper Jill Dean had a couple of big saves down the stretch to fend off the Big Blue. Marina Padovani scored for Swampscott 15 minutes into the second half.Danvers 6, Beverly 1At Beverly, Brittany Russo had the hot foot for the Falcons (10-0-1), scoring four goals to bring her season total to 21 goals and seven assists. Tess Saunders and Rebecca Cann accounted for the other two goals. Allison Tivnan (6 saves) got the job done in net. The Falcons have already qualified for the state tournament.
