Zimman’s hosts charity to benefit RAW studio

LYNN – As part of celebrating 100 years in business, Zimman’s is hosting an Oct. 24 charity auction to benefit Raw Art Works, a Lynn-based art therapy program for at-risk youth.The event has been dubbed CHAIR-ity because it features the sale of 12 chairs customized by RAW alumni.”Each chair will be exhibited within a choreographed space,” said Patty Forster, a Zimman’s employee and event organizer.CHAIR-ity includes a cocktail reception, music by Jazz on a Rug, an exhibit by RAW artists and brief presentations by Door 2 Door artists (RAW alumni). Tickets are $30 at the door or $25 in advance. All proceeds will support Raw Art Works.The music, cocktails and food are by Pigalle and Pomodoro.
