It was a banner day for Lynnfield High golfer Brian Corcoran on Thursday.First, Corcoran shot a 79 at the Cape Ann League Open at Far Corner Golf Course in West Boxford to finish third and qualify for All-League status.Then, at the CAL golf coaches’ meeting after tee-off, Corcoran was elected as the league’s Player of the Year.”It’s another feather in his cap,” Lynnfield coach Roger Lauzon said. “He’s a great golfer. He’s had four years playing for me. He’s right up there with the best.”Jason Steele of Pentucket finished first on the day with a 76. Gabe Dunn of Masconomet placed second with a 78. The top nine finishers earn All-League status.Although they did not place in the top nine, Paul O’Brien (85) and Joe Anderson (86) also competed for Lynnfield.
