MARBLEHEAD – As part of the annual Christmas Walk, the Red Bow Holiday Fair will take place at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead, Mugford Street, Saturday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday from noon-3 p.m.As usual, the fair offers something for everyone, from the ever-popular gift baskets to a hand-made, artist-decorated Swiss Chalet Dollhouse, 25 pounds of lobster, a warm and homey food-lovers café, festive holiday wreaths and plants, gifts, hand-crafted and personalized tree ornaments, baked goods from some of Marblehead’s finest kitchens, kids’ activities, a white elephant room and new and used books in the book stall ($1 for hardcover, 50 cents for paperbacks).There’s something new this year – Gran’ma’s Attic, slightly used gift articles for a real bargain.”We know people (who) return every year to buy our famous gift baskets. You can wrap up your holiday shopping in one stop,” says Red Bow Fair chairman Bill Smalley.Red Bow Fair gift baskets have become justly famous for their beauty, selection and value. This year they will feature the usual items: sweets, spa, pet’s and children’s items, games, wine and picnic specialties, with surprise selections in each basket.The lobster will once again be raffled off to the lucky winner, donated by the Marblehead Lobster Company, and a Swiss Chalet Dollhouse, hand-built by local craftsman Craig Gariepy, will also be raffled. Each room of the dollhouse is lovingly decorated by the youth in the church congregation.Shoppers may also select personalized decorated holiday wreaths, table arrangements and holiday plants from a wide variety. Children can make children’s holiday crafts or get their face painted in festive holiday art in their special workshop.Hearty lunches and warm foods await those who need a break from shopping and after the parade fair visitors may warm themselves at the Red Bow Café.
