REVERE – Police captured a juvenile suspected in four non-fatal stabbings, three in South Boston and one in Revere, after an hour-long manhunt through Revere on Tuesday afternoon.The 16-year-old suspect, Darius D. Young, of Dorchester, had numerous other warrants in addition to the charges of armed assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in connection to the stabbings. He was wanted for the stabbings of three women in South Boston on Feb. 3 and the Feb. 7 stabbing of another woman in Revere.On Sunday, around 11:40 a.m., Revere Police Lt. Jeremiah Goodwin said officers responded to a residence at the Coolidge Street Housing Authority, where they found a 16-year-old girl and her 42-year-old mother suffering from injuries.”The 16 year old had visible injuries and her mother had multiple stab wounds and punctures to her chest,” he said. “She was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital and is listed in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.”The search for the suspect began after a short foot chase early Tuesday afternoon after the suspect was spotted. He was captured on Ridge Road near Tudor Street.Revere Police and Boston Police are in charge of investigating the stabbings. Chelsea Police helped Revere Police conduct Tuesday’s search throughout Revere, which included areas in west Revere near Routes 1 and 16. The Massachusetts State Police also helped in the search with troopers, K-9 units and the Air Wing.Robin Kaminski contributed to this report.
