Can you party and get in shape at the same time?That’s the going strategy among Zumba exercise dance enthusiasts and to prove the point locally, the Greater Lynn YMCA, 20 Neptune St., will host a Zumba Fest on Saturday, Feb. 20, starting at noon.”It’s a chance to Zumba with the masters,” said Sharon Dobbyn, the YMCA’s fitness director. “Ditch the workout and join the party.”The festival kicks off with Liana Veda, a Zumba education specialist and master instructor, who will lead a one-hour session. Zumba specialist Ann Saldi takes over the dance floor from 1:15-2:15 p.m., followed by specialist Jose Paiva from 2:30-3:30 p.m.According to Dobbyn, the event is the biggest of its kind in New England. “Zumba is the hottest workout there is today. You’ll be so busy having fun that you won’t even notice that you’re burning hundreds of calories at the same time. And don’t worry, anyone can Zumba.
