Winthrop’s Pat Feeley and Marblehead’s Jake Kulevich were named MVP’s of the Northeastern Conference North and South divisions as the league released its hockey all-star team on Monday.Feeley has posted eight shutouts, helping lead the Vikings to a 16-1-2 record, while Kulevich’s 29 points lead all area defensemen. He was a key reason for the Headers’ claiming the NEC South title this season.Peabody’s Mark Leonard and Marblehead’s Bob Jackson were recipients of the Coach of the Year award for the North and South, respectively.Leonard has guided the Tanners to a 15-2-2 record this season and a 13-0-1 mark in claiming the program’s first Northeastern Conference title in hockey while Jackson’s team has posted a sterling 16-2-3 mark this season.The Tanners, Vikings, Headers and Lynn Jets each garnered three all-stars to lead the conference.Peabody’s first line of Andrew Bucci, Matt Rodgers and Derrik Pereira did the honors for Leonard’s team. The ‘3 Amigos,’ as they’re collectively known, have tormented the conference all season, combining for an astounding 61 goals and 83 assists in 19 games.Bucci’s 30 goals and 53 points are both area bests while Rodgers’ 31 assists also lead the North Shore this season. Pereira has added 29 assists and 40 points to the Peabody cause.Forward Joe Casey and defenseman Brendan Fitzpatrick joined Feeley as the Vikings’ representatives on the team. The Headers had defenseman Anders Gundersen and forward Chris McLeod join Kulevich as all-stars.Lynn, in the tournament for the first time since combining programs three years ago, had forward Bucky Surette (22 points) join defensemen Eric Bransfield and Mike Duggan on the team.
