Lynn teen arrested for Pine Hill murder

LYNN – A Lynn teenager was arrested on Tuesday by Lynn Police officers for the fatal stabbing of Huy Le in Pine Hill’s Gallagher Park on Feb. 12.Daryll Jones, 17, of 11 Marianna St., was arrested at his home without incident and charged with the murder of 19-year-old Le, Essex County District Attorney Spokesman Steve O’Connell said.”He (Jones) will be arraigned in Lynn District Court (today) on the charge of murder,” O’Connell said. “The investigation remains ongoing.”Le was found dead in the quiet playground near Ontario Street, located across from the Sewell-Anderson Elementary School, by Lynn Police following a 911 call placed around 9:30 p.m.Le, a 2009 graduate of Lynn English High School, studied liberal arts at North Shore Community College and worked at McDonald’s on the Lynnway.Following the murder, Le’s friend Danny Norng said he didn’t know why Le was in the park on the night of Feb. 12, his day off from work. A wake was held on Feb. 16 and Le was buried at Pine Grove Cemetery the next day.
