LYNN – Two Lynn men were arraigned in District Court on Wednesday after they allegedly broke into an apartment with two other suspects and tied up the resident, only to realize he was not their intended target.Rafael Cintron, 37, and Jose Romero, 26, both of 35 Lily St. #3, were arraigned on charges of breaking and entering in the nighttime for a felony, receiving stolen property over $250, trespassing and disorderly conduct for their part in the Feb. 8 robbery. The victim said two other men were also present at the time, one of whom was identified as Delvis Diaz-Vargas, 37, of Hartford, Conn., also charged.According to the report, three of the suspects used a key to enter the victim’s apartment, where he had lived for about two weeks, and bound his arms and legs with black tape. They took his cell phone and cash from his wallet before a fourth suspect entered the apartment, looked at the victim and told the other suspects that the victim was “not the guy.”The suspects then left the victim in the apartment and fled. The victim broke free and walked to a relative’s home to call the police. He later identified Cintron and Diaz-Vargas in photo arrays.Cintron and Diaz-Vargas were following up another break-in on Feb. 15, when, with the help of information from an ongoing investigation, they were traced to 62 Laighton St., where police found a car that they believe belongs to the fourth suspect. A roll of black tape was found in the backseat of the car.Cintron and Romero were each held on $25,000 bail. They are due back in court on March 18.
