LYNN – A spate of inclement weather has pushed back the annual spring cleanup of Pine Grove Cemetery to March 15.The cleaning traditionally begins March 1.Between March 15 and April 15, ground crews will remove all graveside wreaths, baskets, potted plants, plastic decorations and other personal items.”We take it all off. The only thing that will be left is a vigil light,” said James Barr, the city’s cemetery superintendent.Items removed from the graves will be discarded. Once the cleanup is completed on April 15, personal mementos can be returned. The municipally owed cemetery, established in the mid-1800s, contains nearly 90,000 graves.
