Freshmen aren’t supposed to come in and put the clamps on a defending Division 1 North champion, but someone forgot to tell that to Saugus’ Dom DiPesa.DiPesa held Gloucester in check, allowing seven hits in a complete-game effort, while John Moore had a homer and three RBI as the Sachems grabbed a 5-3 win at O’Maley Field in Gloucester on Monday.”Dom just knows how to compete out there,” Saugus coach Rich Angelo said. “He found the strike zone.”Moore was 4-for-4, including driving Gloucester starter Lucas Ilges from the game in the fourth with a 2-run homer.”Moore stepped up and delivered in two different situations when we needed him,” Angelo said.Saugus grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first on Ty Kennedy’s single.
