Elise Giangregorio had a strong game as well with five goals and three assists. Taylor Eaton chipped in with two goals and one assist. Also, Casey Connolly, Lauren Herlihy, Lisa Gambale, Maggie Osbahr, and Kita Wheeler all scored one goal. Gabby Wooten had a strong game in net with nine saves.Swampscott (4-3) plays Beverly Friday.Peabody 17, Gloucester 12At Peabody, the Tanners jumped out on the Fishermen early with an 11-4 lead at halftime. Gloucester did make a strong run in the second half, but the hole was to big for the Fishermen to dig themselves out of. Peabody coach Dennis Desroches felt the key was his team’s fast and strong start.”Gloucester never went away today and I didn’t expect them to. They made a strong charge at my team in the second half, but our fast start was the key to holding the Fishermen off,” said Desroches.Leading the way for the Tanners on offense were Brittany LeFave and Casey Broughton. Sarah Perry led the way for the Falcons. Perry scored seven goals and had one assist. Katie McKenna had a strong performance with two goals and four assists. Rebecca Tann wasn’t shy to find the net either, scoring five goals. Holding down the fort in net were Janelle Parker (5 saves) and Marina Belakonis (4 saves). Bobby Gallahue had two goals; Matt Scalise of Nahant and Colin Blackwell had a goal and two assists each and Jon Farrow, Jim O’Connell and Connor Kelly each contributed a goal. Farrow and O’Connell also each picked up an assist. Matt DeFillipo (4 saves) was in net for the win.
