Roundup: Dada breaks school record in triple jump for Classical boys track

Classical’s Dammy Dada broke a 32-year-old school record in the triple jump with a mark of 42-6 in a 112-23 loss to Peabody Monday at Manning Field.The previous record was held by Ian Bernard. Perry Raymond won the 2-mile (12:10); and Jaquan Huston, the javelin (132-3); Huston took second in the 800 (2:14).Edwin Mejia was a triple winner for the Tanners (5-0) with firsts in the 400 hurdles (59.6); the 100-meter hurdles (16.6) and the triple jump (42-10). Jamal Abu-Hijleh won the 100 meters (11.0) and the long jump (19-10); Keane Terenzoni, 800 (2:10.3); Paul Ruotolo, shot put (43-10) and discus (110-0); Dave Caggiano, mile (5:11); Matt Faulkner, 400 (59.8); Zach Grube, high jump (5-8); and Nat Gaye, 200 (23.12).No. Andover 101, Lynnfield 44At Lynnfield, the Pioneers (0-4) were led by double winner Steve Knox, who took first in the shot put (46-0) and the discus (125-3); Robbie Benson, first in the mile (4:53); Steve Carangelo, 200 (23.8) and Craig Martin, javelin (126-4).Salem 93, Revere 43At Salem, Ben Dibble was a quadruple winner for the Witches (3-2): 400 high hurdles (60.4); 110 hurdles (16.8); discus (102-3); and high jump (5-10). Matt Owens added three first places: 100 (11.6); long jump (18-8 1/2); and triple jump (39). The team of Owens, Josh Gilluoly, Edwin Guzman and Carlos Rijker combined to win the 4×100 (46.9).
