It was a back-and-forth baseball game between Peabody and Marblehead, with the Tanners clawing their way to victory 8-5 over the Magicians at Marblehead Thursday.Peabody had a 2-0 lead to open the game. The Tanners jumped out to a 6-2 lead in the fourth. Marblehead struck back to make it 6-4 in the home half of the fourth. Peabody scored two in the fifth and never looked back. There was plenty of offense to go around with both teams combining for 20 hits (10 each). Michael Aybar had a strong performance at the plate and on the hill. Aybar had a 6.1 inning effort, giving up five hits, and striking out four in the win.
