Lynn YMCA Spring Fling race set for May 22

LYNN-The Greater Lynn YMCA will sponsor its inaugural Spring Fling 5K Race Saturday, May 22 in Lynn Woods.Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. The race starts at 10 off the Great Woods Road entrance. Pre-registration is $15. Day of the race registration is $20.”This is a fun run designed for all fitness levels,” said Sharon Dobbyn, the YMCA fitness director. “Never raced before? Challenge yourself.”The event includes a raffle on race day, with prizes including a three-month YMCA membership, a $150 gift certificate to chiropractor Dr. Joseph Dowling, a $35 haircut at Zensational Salon and $25 gift certificates to Stop & Shop, Shaw’s, Price Rite, Vinny Testa’s, Tatiana’s, the Porthole Pub, Old Tyme restaurant and Nicky’s Pizza.Age group awards will be presented, starting with less than 20 and increasing in 10-year increments.
