One of the North Shore’s constant state tournament presences is back in the postseason after a year’s absence.The Danvers baseball team got a grand slam home run from Eric Burgos in the first inning at World Series Park in Saugus on Friday and never looked back as the Falcons steamrolled to a 14-3 win to clinch a state tournament berth.”I really thought it would come down to the last weekend, honestly,” Danvers coach Roger Day said. “But we’ve found ways to get it done this season.”The Falcons (10-4) got two hits a homer and four RBI from Ryan Shallow, a player pushed into service this week because of a short bench.”Ryan is one of those guys we kept on the team because the kids liked him,” Day said. “And now he’s got like 10 RBI in the last four games. That’s amazing.”Zach Ryan was 3-for-3 with a run scored and Kyle Larson had a pair of doubles and an RBI to help the Danvers cause. Senior Greg Ladd went five innings, allowing one earned run, to get the clinching win.Marblehead 10, Winthrop 0At Winthrop, Evan Comeau needed only 74 pitches to hold the Vikings to four hits while striking out seven as the Magicians (6-7, 6-4) breezed to the victory.Flynn McCormack was 3-for-4 with 2 RBI to help pace the offense while Dan Colbert was 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored.Gloucester 13, S’scott 1At Gloucester, Caulin Rogers, Santo LoGrasso and Lucas DaSilva each had a homer as the Fishermen (11-3) rolled to the win. Derek Cote added three hits for Gloucester, who is at Winthrop on Monday.
