The other Lynnfield winners were: Allison Bodek, first singles (6-0, 6-0) and Tori Copelas, third singles (6-1, 6-3). Lynnfield finished the season at 14-2.BASEBALLPeabody 4, Xaverian 0At Peabody, Tanner freshman Patrick Ruotolo was the key to the game. Ruotolo pitched seven shutout innings, giving up six hits, one walk, and striking out three. Peabody coach Mark Bettencourt was very impressed with Ruotolo.”It’s impressive to see a freshman pitcher go out and dominate against a team like Xaverian. My team also played awesome defense turning four double plays,” Bettencourt said.Doing the damage for the Tanner offense were Ramses Vittini, Andrew Bucci and Stephen Girolamo, who all had a hit and an RBI. Leading the way for St. John’s was senior middle hitter Andrew Lutz (30 kills). Senior setter Luka Ralic had a strong game with 53 assists. Senior middle hitter Woody Salmonsen played very well. St. John’s is 20-1.
