For the Lynn Classical softball team, the rewards for a fantastic regular season keep on coming. The Rams received a conference leading six all-stars as the Northeastern Conference announced its softball all-star teams on Friday.Lynn English senior catcher Cara Crowley, who will be playing at St.Anselm College next year, was chosen as the NEC North MVP while Salem’s Dan Bertone was chosen as the North Coach of the Year.Danvers’ Tara Petrocelli was honored as the NEC South Coach of the Year while Winthrop’s Abby Belcher was chosen as league MVP.Classical, which claimed an unlikely NEC North title for the second time in three seasons, had Mackenzie Coppinger, pitcher; Chelsey Bartlett, catcher; Fallon Gaudet, 2B; Hannah Byrne, SS; Danielle Moran, outfield and Jenny Garrity, outfield, selected to the team.Peabody, which came up just short in defense of its North conference title, had five players chosen to the team while Salem had four honorees and head coach Dan Bertone chosen as Coach of the Year.Lynn English had pitcher Tiffany Drown and centerfielder Val Fiaccaprile chosen to the team along with Crowley.The North all-stars are as follows: Pitcher: Sarah Chasse, Salem; Coppinger and Drown; Catcher – Crowley, Bartlett and Rachel Channen, Salem; First base – Olivia Brothers, Peabody; Sarah Mullarkey, Salem; Second base – Gaudet and Katie Brunelle, Peabody; Third base – Julia Jennings, Salem; Monica Cassola, Beverly; Shortstop – Byrne and Mary Kate Helas, Peabody; Outfield – Moran, Garrity, Fiaccaprile and Emily Scolaro, Peabody; Utility – Kiki McKenna and Jenn Gallione, Beverly; Ashley DiFraia, Revere and Nicole Wilson, Peabody.Belcher headed four Winthrop players that were chosen to the squad while Danvers and Swampscott, the teams that went down to the wire for the league crown, each had five players selected for the team.The South all-stars are as follows: Pitcher – Kirstin Vinal, Swampscott; Cortney Fletcher, Swampscott and Nichole Lowe, Saugus; Catcher – Moe Bradley, Swampscott; Sam DiBella, Danvers and Addy Blakeley, Gloucester; First base – Silvie Cohen, Marblehead and Alicia Dean, Danvers; Second base – Taylor Brown, Winthrop; Shortstop – Haley Benson, Winthrop; Kathryn DiGiammarino, Marblehead and Gabby Vega, Danvers; Third base – Courtney Russo, Swampscott and Joanna Zecha, Danvers; Outfield – Elaine Lanza, Winthrop; Alex Wilson, Swampscott; Ashley Lopes, Gloucester; Sam Saputo, Gloucester and Krystina Novello, Gloucester; Gina Repucci, Saugus; Jackie Doherty, Saugus and Logan Carobello, Danvers; Designated hitter – Emma Crowley, Marblehead.The two squads will play Tuesday (7) at Breed Middle School’s Grace Rogato Field.
