LYNN – An alleged shooting outside of the Lido Cafe early Wednesday has landed two men behind bars.John Martin Marino, 21, of 372 Tremont St., #2, Melrose, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, handgun, and possession of a firearm without a permit; Anthony Kentroy Murray, 20, of 220 Broadway #1, Lynn, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, handgun, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building and possession of a firearm without a permit. Both suspects were arraigned Thursday at Lynn District Court by Judge Stacy Fortes-White.Marino’s bail of $10,000 cash was revoked since he has an open case from March, while Murray was ordered held in lieu of $10,000 cash bail. A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for July 21.At approximately 1:15 a.m. Lynn police responded to the 112 Federal St. bar on a report of a fight and were met by the bartender, who reported hearing several gunshots.A few minutes later, an alleged victim reported the same incident at the police station on Washington Street, where she said Murray approached her at the bar, said something about her brother and then got into a black Lincoln Navigator. Murray then allegedly pointed a gun out of the sun roof at the victim, but had his arm pushed by the front passenger just before he fired four shots into the air.The victim managed to get three numbers on the vehicle’s license plate and relayed them to police.Based on the victim’s account, police obtained a warrant for Murray. A surveillance video at the Lido was said to have captured footage of Murray, Marino and another identified male inside the bar prior to the incident. When police ran a search of the license plate number, they discovered that Marino had been arrested March 22 and was due in court Thursday morning. Police found the Navigator in front of the courthouse Thursday and had it towed to the police station as they applied for a search warrant for the vehicle. Once police were in the courthouse looking for Marino, they spotted Murray standing in the lobby on the second floor and took him into custody. Marino was found in a court room and was also taken into custody. As both suspects were being booked, police asked Marino for the keys to the SUV, saying it had been towed. Marino allegedly turned quite pale when police asked if he had anything in the vehicle, and said he had five “thirties.” Police said Marino and Murray had a strong odor of marijuana on them. Both suspects admitted to having smoked marijuana in the vehicle prior to going to court, after which Marino was said to have put his head down and would not answer any other questions.
