SWAMPSCOTT – A woman was allegedly robbed at gunpoint on Redington Terrace at approximately 1:45 a.m. Thursday.According to Detective Sgt. Tim Cassidy, a woman reported she was returning home from work and was approached by the suspect as she exited her vehicle in the driveway of her home.”The male suspect put a black and gray handgun in her face and demanded her bag,” he said. “The victim gave the suspect the bag and he fled down the street toward Redington Street.”The woman described the suspect as an African American male, between 5’8 and 5’10, weighing between 160 and 180 pounds. He was wearing jeans and a black sweatshirt.Cassidy said police were unable to locate the suspect. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Swampscott Police at 781-595-1111.
