The Saugus American Little League baseball team defeated Revere, 14-4, at Wyoma on Monday in a District 16 losers’ bracket game.Saugus American advances to play West Lynn American (today at Swampscott, 5:45), while Revere is eliminated. The game was called in the bottom of the fifth due to the mercy rule.Revere scored three runs in the first inning, but the Saugus American bats subsequently took control of the game.Pitcher James Furlong and catcher Oscar Zavala both helped out with the scoring for Revere.In other District 16 baseball action, West Lynn American defeated East Lynn, 11-1.
