The Lynn English football team is set to be a very dangerous club when the season begins in September. On Saturday at Lynnfield, the Bulldogs got a chance to showcase what could be a revamped passing attack.Beating seven teams, including the likes of Gloucester, Bishop Fenwick and Manchester-Essex, the Bulldogs claimed the seventh annual Swampscott-Lynnfield 7-on-7 Shootout with a 34-12 win over defending champion Chelmsford. The Bulldogs had beaten Northeastern Conference North rival Gloucester in the semifinals while Chelmsford had beaten Masconomet in its semifinal game. For English, it was the duo of Tyllor MacDonald and Travonne Berry-Rogers that stole the show. The senior quarterback and wide receiver teamed to give the Lions fits all day. Berry-Rogers had a 2-point conversion reception on the first touchdown that saw him tip the ball away from a defender and then catch it along the back line of the end zone.English grabbed a 22-12 lead at the half on a MacDonald to Freddie Hogan pass before adding two more scores in the second half.
