The stellar runs of Gannon golfers Anne Fraser and Mary Hunt in the WGAM Women’s Amateur Championship at Charles River CC came to an end on Wednesday.In the championship flight, Fraser cruised past Meredith Kotowski, 4 & 3, in the morning’s Round of 16 matches. Her run came to an end in the quarterfinals in the afternoon as she was eliminated by one of the top amateurs in the state, Tara Joy-Connelly, 5 & 4.In the President’s Flight, Hunt and Ciprian Keyes’ Elise Lemons needed extra holes to decide their sweet 16 match, with Lemons prevailing on the 19th hole.
