LYNN – Traffic along the Lynnway will be detoured Saturday and Sunday as work crews string electrical power lines across the busy six-lane road.
State troopers will direct motorists to a detour. National Grid requires the road shut down for approximately 15 minutes on each day, according to R. Andrew Schneller, the company project manager.
“In the event of adverse weather, we will attempt to reschedule this work for the following weekend,” he said.
The power lines are being moved from the waterfront to the west side of the Lynnway to make way for development on the harbor.
