The Lynn All-Stars defeated the Charlestown All-Stars, 3-0, in Medford Invitational Tournament baseball action at Columbus Memorial Park in South Medford on Wednesday.Lynn is one of 12 teams in the tournament, with its players consisting of 11- and 12-year-olds. There are two divisions, the American and National Leagues, and Lynn is in the National League.Lynn was coming off a defeat against Newton heading into its game against Charlestown. The Lynners impressed against Charlestown. Brandon Devin pitched five and two-thirds innings of no-hit baseball. He walked none and struck out 13.Brett Holey came in to get the last out. He allowed one walk before finishing the game with a strikeout.Leadoff batter Kyle Morrill of Lynn hit a homer in the first inning for a 1-0 lead. Morrill went 2-for-3. Thomas McGee got a hit in the first inning after Morrill’s homer. McGee finished 1-for-2. Brett Molea got a hit in the second inning and a homer in the fourth inning; he finished 2-for-3. Devin hit a homer in the third and a double in the fifth; he finished 2-for-3.Anthony Ross had a single in the fifth inning and went 1-for-3. Holey had a single in the fourth.In the fifth inning, Lynn’s Andre Gaudet walked to load the bases after Devin doubled and Ross singled. However, the Charlestown pitcher induced Rich Winchell to ground out to first.Also on the team are Matthew Stanley, Antonio Felix, Sean Devin and Matthew Cunha. The manager is Ron Gaudet and the two coaches are Dave Stanley and Paul Holey.Lynn is guaranteed five games in the tournament. Should it make the playoffs, there is a divisional playoff game, and then a matchup of division winners.Lynn’s next three games are: Tuesday, Aug. 17, against Malden, 6 p.m.; Wednesday, Aug. 18, against Saugus, 6 p.m.; and Saturday, Aug. 21, against Tewksbury, 2 p.m.Medford, Wakefield, Billerica, Melrose, North Cambridge and Somerville are in the American League. Saugus, Malden, Charlestown, Tewksbury, Newton and Lynn are in the National League.Games are at Columbus Memorial Park, 27 Hicks Ave., South Medford.
