The Lynn All-Stars scored seven unanswered runs against their Saugus counterparts in a 7-1 Lynn victory in Medford Invitational baseball action at Columbus Memorial Park in Medford on Wednesday.Lynn trailed 1-0 in the first inning after a single, a flyout and a groundout. Yet with the bases loaded, starter Brandon Devin got out of the jam with a strikeout. Devin pitched 4.1 innings, striking out six. Brett Molea pitched 1.2 innings of scoreless relief, striking out two.Devin tied the game in the third with a solo homer. In the fifth, Lynn opened things up. Kyle Morrill hit a leadoff triple, Devin hit an RBI single to give Lynn the lead for good, Anthony Ross walked, and Molea hit an RBI double.Now leading 3-1, Lynn added more in the sixth. Matt Cunha, Sean Devin and Morrill all singled, with Morrill’s driving in two runs. Ross hit an RBI single and with Andre Gaudet at the plate, a passed ball scored Lynn’s final run of the game for the 7-1 final.Next up for Lynn is Tewksbury Saturday (2) at Columbus Memorial Park. Lynn is 2-2 in tourney play thus far. A win on Saturday would give it a chance at the playoffs.
