SWAMPSCOTT – Police caught a recent break in an armed robbery case that dates back to Oct. 5, 2009 and they expect a warrant to be issued out of Lynn District Court today.Detective Sgt. Timothy Cassidy said DNA links a Swampscott man to the Oct. 5 armed robbery at Spiro’s Gas Station, 620 Humphrey St.”During the robbery, he put a gun in the male attendant’s face and demanded money,” Cassidy said. “He was wearing a ski mask at the time of the robbery. We located the mask and the victim identified it. It was sent to the state police crime unit on Oct. 6, 2009 and sent out for DNA analysis.”Cassidy said the department just received the DNA report from the state.”We got a hit,” Cassidy said. “The DNA belongs to Joshua Enos.”Enos’, 19, most recent known address was 34 Hillcrest Circle, Swampscott. He is currently being held at Middleton House of Corrections on charges that were issued out of Danvers.Cassidy said he expects a warrant to be issued in Lynn District today against Enos for the Swampscott armed robbery.Enos and Felicia Warham of Revere were arrested by Danvers Police and State Police in May for housebreaks in multiple communities including Saugus. Cassidy said Enos is also a suspect in housebreaks and other armed robberies in Swampscott as well.”He has been a person of interest in other armed robberies we’ve had in town,” Cassidy said. “The armed robberies are still under investigation and he may have had an accomplice.”According to information provided by the police at the time of the robbery, the suspect was described as a white male with blue eyes and a medium build. He is in his early 20s and is between 5’8″ and 5’10”. At the time of the robberies he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and had a black bandanna covering his face. He was carrying a black handgun. The Paradise Road CITGO, 219 Paradise Road, was robbed a month earlier in September 2009. Cassidy said the description of that suspect was similar and a weapon was shown in both robberies. In both cases the suspect fled on foot.”He’s also a suspect in the (Oct. 4) armed robbery of a food delivery person,” Cassidy said. “A driver from China Green was delivering an order to Archer Street when he was robbed at gunpoint.”
