An investigation is ongoing into why two students had a shotgun bullet in their possession throughout the school day Wednesday.
Police and school officials confirmed the two students had the bullet with them at the school.
?I can tell you that two students had possession of the bullet throughout the day and it was shown to several students,” Principal Ralph Watson said. “It was reported to a teacher and two students came to the office to report seeing it.
?Yesterday (Wednesday) a student made the poor decision to bring a shotgun bullet into school in his backpack,” Watson wrote in a letter that was sent to parents on Thursday. “There was no intent to harm anyone, but more out of adolescent curiosity. Due to the fact it is an open case and an ongoing investigation, I am not at liberty so share more details.”
