It is a rivalry that stretches beyond the Cape Ann League into the state tournament, where Lynnfield and Newburyport have staged several memorable battles on the soccer field.On Monday, the Pioneers once again faced their rivals and it was another one of those stellar games with the Clippers. Sam Knee’s goal in the 47th minute was the difference as Lynnfield took a 1-0 win on home soil.Knee’s game winner was a thing of beauty as she fired a left footed shot to the far post to stake the Pioneers to the lead.
