The wins have been hard to come by for the Classical High girls soccer team this fall, but the Rams put it all together Thursday in a 1-0 victory over Everett at Manning Field.Click here for a photo gallery.Freshman Francesca Galeazzi supplied all the offense Classical would need when she scored an unassisted goal 11 minutes into the second half.”I think we definitely outplayed them,” Classical coach Kerri Altieri said. “Our offense really stepped up. We had a much better passing game. We’re not turning the ball over as much. We’re holding on to it.”Jessica Perez had 11 saves for the Rams, who wrap up the season with three games next week (Saugus, English and Everett).Tech 1, Northeast 1At Wakefield, Arthina Robert took a feed from Hailey Martin and scored on a breakaway to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. Northeast tied the game with about 10 minutes remaining. Dayry Arevalo, who was filling in for an injured Mah Weah Weah in net, caught the ball, but she was just over the line in the net. Tech (1-10-2) has three games remaining.Ipswich 1, Lynnfield 0At Ipswich, the Tigers broke a scoreless tie with a goal 27 minutes into the second half. The two teams met in Lynnfield’s first game of the season and the Pioneers won. Ipswich has been on a tear lately, however, and has now won five in a row.Lynnfield outshot the Tigers, 16-6, but Ipswich had the edge everywhere else.”They seemed to beat us to every ball,” Lynnfield coach Mark Vermont said, adding that his team had nine corner kicks and was unable to capitalize. The Pioneers are 10-3-2. Nareh Sahakian (6 saves) was in net.Gloucester 2, Saugus 1At Saugus, the Fishermen led 2-0 at the half. Kaleigh Evans got one back for the Sachems (11-4-1) with the assist going to Jackie Russo. Cecilia Cresta-Devine played well for Saugus, as did Ashley Firth and Stephanie Terranzano.VOLLEYBALLFenwick 3, St. Mary’s 0At Lynn, the Crusaders (17-1) won 25-22, 25-18 and 25-13.GOLFSt. John’s 226, Catholic Memorial 250At George Wright Golf Course in Hyde Park, the Eagles finished the regular season 13-3. Senior Sean Patrikas of Danvers led the pack with a 1-under 34 in his final match. Nick McLaughlin and Nick Pandelena each shot a 37. The Prep will compete in the states next Tuesday.
