TOPSFIELD – Peabody High won the boys portion of the Northeastern Conference cross country meet Saturday at Bradley Palmer State Park in Topsfield while Marblehead took the girls race.The Tanners also had the top finishers for both: Nick Cristensen (15:49) for the boys, and Catarina Rocha (18:14) for the girls.In the boys race, the Tanners defeated Gloucester in total time, 44 points to 48.After that it was Marblehead (64), Swampscott (87); Beverly (151); Danvers (178); Revere (200), English (218), Saugus (266), Salem (285) and Winthrop (331).The top 10 finishers were Cristensen, Evan Braz (Peabody), 16:42; Caulin Rogers (Gloucester), 16:51; Peter Hale (Swampscott), 17:00; Noah Mondello (Gloucester), 17:05; Wes Dunn (Gloucester), 17:05; Keane Terrenzoni, Peabody (17:10), Brian Hebert (Danvers), 17:16; James Wigglesworth, Marblehead (17:19) and Henry Pratt (Marblehead), 17:24.The top finisher for English was Alex Bonitto (17:57). Even though Classical did not factor into the team score, the Rams had three runners participate, the top performer among them being Perry Raymond (20:24). Saugus’ top runner was David Cacciola (19:26).In the girls race, the Magicians had 34 points to second-place Peabody’s 53. After that it was Beverly (63), Swampscott (88), Danvers (98), Winthrop (173), Gloucester (196), Revere (223), and Salem (237).The top 10 finishers were Rocha, Mary Kauffman (Marblehead), (20:20); Chloe Heskett (Marblehead), 20:32; Keely Higgins (Beverly), 20:37; Hannah King (Swampscott), 20:39; Nicole Demars (Beverly), 20:47; Tanya Lopes (Peabody), 20:52; Molly Depew (Marblehead), 20:52; Sara May (Peabody) 21:00; Madeline Piela (Marblehead), 21:08.Although neither English nor Saugus had enough runners to field a team, both sent representatives.
