SWAMPSCOTT – There was plenty of celebration at the Gourmet Garden in Swampscott as 8th Essex District state Rep. Lori Ehrlich, D-Marblehead, beat out challenger Katherine Kozitza by a large margin.

I feel that my two years worth of work has been affirmed.”Ehrlich beat Kozitza 11,029 to 6,762, according to unofficial results. Ehrlich received 62 percent of the votes cast, compared to 38 to Kozitza.Ehrlich said she couldn’t thank her family and supporters enough.?My family was my rock through all of this,” she said. “We had hundreds of volunteers who came forward, we avoided robo-calls and negative campaigning.
