LYNN – A group of Lynners was busted Sunday after police found them allegedly lounging around in a smoke-filled room packed with drugs on West Green Street.The suspects, Carlos Manuel Lopez, 22, of 17 Highland Ave., #2, was charged with possession of class A, B and marijuana to distribute, being present where heroin is kept and possession of ammunition without a license; Dionis Junior Lopez, 20, also of 17 Highland Ave., #2, was charged with possession of class A, B and marijuana to distribute and being present where heroin is kept; Roberto Carlos Padilla, 22, of 5 Oakwood Ave., #B1, was charged with violation of an abuse prevention order, being present where heroin is kept and possession of class A, B and marijuana to distribute.All three were arraigned Monday at Lynn District Court by Judge Stacey Fortes-White. Carlos Lopez was ordered held in lieu of $15,000 cash bail, Dionis on $5,000 bail and Padilla held on $10,000 with the instruction to abide by a restraining order and not have contact with the victim. A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 29. Padilla was also held on $7,500 cash bail stemming from a domestic incident on Saturday.Three others arrested in connection are expected to be arraigned today – Basilio Encarnacion, 20, of 18 Arbutus Place, Melvin Avalo, 35, of 8 Northern Ave. and Terrance Tyler, 27, of 63 Richy St., Roxbury.According to court documents, police say a woman called and told them where they could find Padilla, who was wanted on a warrant for allegedly beating a man over the head with a firearm. Police were told they could find him in an apartment on West Green Street, and when they checked it out, officers say they smelled an overwhelming odor of marijuana that led them to an apartment on the second floor.Five men were found sitting on a couch and a bed watching TV, with a pipe on a nearby bar stool and thick smoke in the air. Another man, later identified as Avalo, was said to have peered around a corner and quickly pulled his head back, but officers had him join the rest of the group as they searched the room.A total of five potted marijuana plants were found in the room, along with a large bag of marijuana on top of a plastic bin in a closet. Carlos Lopez was said to have shrugged and blurted out, “I’ll take the hit for that one” and “Yeah that’s mine, I smoke weed.”Police later searched the apartment with a warrant, where they found six 9mm rounds of ammunition stuffed in a sock in Carlos Lopez’s bedroom. Also found were digital scales, $760, heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine, 20 large bags stuffed with marijuana, a police scanner, a marijuana grinder and horticulture grow magazines.During bookings, Dionis was found to have $379 in cash on him, Tyler had $297 and Carlos Lopez had $3,644.
