LYNN – A Lynn woman was arrested Thursday night on drug and ammunition charges as a result of a police investigation into a shooting in the Lander Street neighborhood.Sereca Prom, 22, of 7 Landers St., was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of ammunition without a firearm identification card.Police responded around 7 p.m. to numerous calls reporting gunshots on Landers Street. When they arrived they found a large crowd gathered in front of 9 Lander St.A person in the crowd brought police officers across the road to a car parked in the driveway where they found the victim, a 26-year-old male, on the trunk of a car holding a towel over his bleeding shoulder. The victim told police he was walking down Lander Street when the shooting started. He was unable to tell police how many shots were fired, or which direction they came from.An ambulance was called and a Lynn police officer accompanied the victim to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston in order to get a complete statement.Meanwhile, police searching the area discovered several bullet holes at 7 Lander St. According to the police report, officers entered the apartment to search for any additional shooting victims.Although no one appeared to be home, two police officers found the one bedroom in the apartment and began to search it. One officer opened a closed portable closet and observed an opened black metal container holding a red and white box of ammunition.Police stopped searching in order to obtain a search warrant. They returned to 7 Lander St. about an hour later and found Prom, who lives at that address. With the warrant they searched the entire apartment and found a number of bags of what they believed to be marijuana. According to the report, Prom admitted to police that the marijuana belonged to her. Police then took Prom to the police station where she was charged and held for court on Friday.
