December 8, 2010 by dliscio

LYNN – Quick response by Lynn firefighters Tuesday morning kept a 10 Wilson Terrace apartment blaze from spreading through the multiple-family residence.Firefighters assigned to Engine 5 and under the command of District Chief Lee Oliver doused the interior flames that threatened to engulf a first-floor unit at the rear of the Wilson Gardens apartment building off Lewis Street.Access to the fire was made more difficult by iron fencing around the property perimeter and a narrow drive leading to the front of the three-story brick apartment building occupied primarily by elderly tenants. The fire was reported at 9:40 a.m.
