Mackenzie Clark was unstoppable again in the Bulldogs girls hockey team’s 6-1 victory over Beverly at Connery Rink on Wednesday.Clark scored twice and recorded two assists as English rolled against the Panthers.”She’s just an excellent player,” Bulldogs coach Anthony Martucci said. “This year, she’s so much more complete than in the past. She’s really starting to pass the puck.”Clark has 110 career points after last night’s game.For the Bulldogs (4-1), Courtney McTague scored the first two goals of the game early and also assisted on one other, while Hannah Lopresti assisted on three goals. Also scoring for English were Taylor Brown and Anna Fucillo, with Kasey Harris, Chelsey Bartlett, and Cat Salvetti chipping in assists.Marblehead 5, Everett 1At Salem State, Grace Lavoie scored twice in the first three minutes and assisted Emmarose Winder in the second period of the game to lead the Magicians. Also scoring for Marblehead were Eliza Quigley, and Rachel McKay. Quigley also recorded an assist, while Courtney Maag and Franny Pelletier added two assists each. In net Molly Depew made 17 saves.BOYS HOCKEYPeabody 1, Conc-Carl 0At McVann-O’Keefe Rink on Wednesday, the Peabody boys hockey team won in dramatic fashion. With 1:31 remaining in a scoreless game, Peabody defenseman Eric Muise took a shot from the point, which was saved by Patriots netminder Graham Hunt. However, Rob Houghton was on the spot to tap in the rebounding puck to give the Tanners the win. The win extends their record to 4-0 on the young season.For Peabody, senior defenseman and captain Ryan Noftle submitted a great performance, as did Nico DiSalvo. Tanners goalie Derek Savage finished with 25 saves and his second consecutive shutout.”This was a great high school game,” said Peabody coach Mark Leonard. “It was a hard fought game and we were able to come up with a goal right at the end.”Haverhill 8, Lynn 0At Haverhill, the Jets dropped to a 2-3 record on the season after a solid effort came up short.
