LYNN – A motor vehicle struck a father carrying his 5-year-old daughter while they were crossing O?Callaghan Way Monday morning, according to school officials and police.The father had just dropped his other child off at Callahan Elementary School when the accident happened.Callahan Principal Edward Turmenne said a mother coming from dropping her children off at Classical High School hit the father, throwing him and cracking the car?s windshield.He was not seriously hurt and refused treatment, and the child he was carrying was luckily only left with a scratch on her knee, Turmenne said.A Classical High School student was hit by a car last week and suffered a broken leg in the incident.?We at Callahan made an announcement that students should not assume that drivers can see them.
