SALEM – A Lynn man who pleaded innocent to burglary and various narcotic charges will have to come up with $50,000 cash in order to get out of the Middleton Jail pending his trial.Sean M. Driscoll, 42, of 76 Verona St., appeared Wednesday morning in Salem Superior Court, answering innocent to breaking and entering in the nighttime, larceny from a building, larceny over $250 as well as possession of Hydrocodone with intent to distribute, a derivative of opium, subsequent offense, possession with the intent to distribute Hydro morphine, a derivative of opium, subsequent offense, possession with the intent to distribute amphetamine, subsequent offense, and possession with the intent to distribute Methylphenidate, subsequent offense. As jointly recommended by the prosecutor and defense, Judge John T. Lu agreed to set the same bail amount as set earlier in Lynn District Court, but left the option for the defense to seek a bail review hearing at an another court date.Assistant District Attorney Marsha H. Slingerland said the allegations arise out of an incident that began in Hamilton.Police say on Oct. 30, Driscoll burglarized Connolly’s Pharmacy, located at 44 Bay Road in Hamilton, where he is accused of stealing a number of prescription drugs.Police were able to track down the suspect following an investigation. They went to a third-floor apartment on South Street Court with a warrant on Nov. 3 and reportedly found Driscoll seated in a recliner surrounded by hundreds of stolen prescription pills and bottles labeled Connolly’s Pharmacy.Inside his red Cadillac police reported they seized a pair of two-way hand-held walkie talkies and a police scanner, which police said was set to the Hamilton Police Department radio frequency.Driscoll is due back in court on Feb. 23 for a pretrial conference.
