LYNN – A pair of Lynn brothers allegedly attacked the brother of an ex-girlfriend on Friday, terrorizing him and smashing a vase over his head.Steven Lee Murray, 21, and Khiry Murray, 19, both of 55 Whiting St., were each charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, vase, malicious destruction of property over $250 and threat to commit a crime. Both were arraigned Monday at Lynn District Court by Judge James Lamothe, where they were released on personal recognizance and ordered to stay away from the victims. A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for March 10.According to court documents, police responded to a report of an assault on Beacon Hill Avenue, where a woman said her former live-in boyfriend came over to pick up some of his belongings and ended up attacking her brother and destroying her home.The 22-year-old victim said he heard a knock at the front door and when he saw that it was Steven, he motioned for him to pick up his belongings and said, “There’s your stuff, take it and go.” That allegedly angered Steven, who became confrontational and said, “You got a problem with me?”Having said no, the victim again motioned for Steven to leave, then he said things quickly turned ugly.Seconds later, the victim said three other black males barged inside the apartment and asked him if he wanted to go outside and fight. At that point, all four suspects charged at the victim and began fighting. A coffee table was broken during the brawl, where the glass top was shattered and all the four wooden legs were broken.Steven allegedly picked up a white ceramic vase and smashed it over the victim’s head, which resulted in several lacerations and lumps. Just as the group was leaving, Steven allegedly turned toward the victim and said he would be back to shoot him. The victim told police he and his sister are concerned that Steven will in fact return and cause additional trouble.A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a third brother allegedly involved in the scuffle, while the fourth suspect remains unnamed and at large.
