PEABODY – Police are searching for the person responsible for shooting 14 bullets into a residential garage of a home on Lowell Street Wednesday morning.Around 6 a.m., police received a call of shots fired in the vicinity and quickly determined that the shots had been fired into the garage at 611 Lowell St. State and Peabody Police recovered 14 shell casings from .223 type ammunition.Police say the shooter was likely standing on the sidewalk, pointing a firearm toward the residence and fired off a number of rounds.No injuries were reported and no further information was made available Wednesday night.Anyone who witnessed people or vehicles in the area of the home between 5:45 and 6:15 a.m. is urged to call Detective Eric Ricci at 978-538-6313 or email him at [email protected] messages can also be sent via text message to 847411 with the words peabodypd followed by the tip, or on the police department’s Facebook account at www.facebook.com/peabodypolice.
