LYNN – Police say a Lynn woman got into a brawl with a pregnant teen outside out of My Brother’s Table Wednesday night, where she allegedly kicked and punched the girl in her stomach.Donna L. Rand, 28, of 25 Hamilton Ave., #1, was charged with assault and battery on a pregnant woman, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, shod foot. She was arraigned Thursday at Lynn District Court by Judge Stacey Fortes-White and released on personal recognizance under the conditions that she stay away from and not have contact with the victim, report to probation once a week and take her prescribed medication. A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for March 31.According to court documents, police responded to Broad Street on a report of a pregnant woman who had been assaulted.The 18-year-old victim, who is four months pregnant, was being treated by medical personnel when officers arrived. She said she had been eating at My Brother’s Table around 9 p.m., with a few of her friends, when an argument broke out between her uncle and another group of people, which included Rand.The victim went on to say that she and Rand began to argue with each other and continued the fight outside, where Rand allegedly said to her, “I hope you have a miscarriage, because you’re gonna be a bad mother.”At that point, the victim said Rand “got in her face,” slapped her and they began to physically fight each other. During the brawl, the victim alleged that Rand punched her twice in her stomach and kicked her in the stomach as well.While the victim was taken to Salem Hospital for an evaluation, police took a trip to Rand’s home on Hamilton Avenue, where she admitted to having gotten into a fight with the victim. She claimed the victim instigated the argument and after it was broken up, the victim charged at her and they began to fight again.As for kicking the victim in the stomach, Rand allegedly said she didn’t intend for that to happen and that she only lifted her leg in an effort keep the victim away.
